Temperature control in a horticultural produce supply chain in Thailand and its influence on product quality

The present study was conducted in order to investigate the temperature conditions horticultural produce cold chain Thailand, and fresh-cut baby corn chosen for a case study. field investigation together with in-person interviews were performed at 4 growers' premises one packing house. information collected provided details on current postharvest individual stages from growers’ an export distribution center. Temperature measurements carried out explore time-temperature profiles throughout these stages. results showed that total duration of almost 32 h, variations between 6 33 °C. Precooling delayed least 9 since cobs primarily processed by dehusking bulk packing. maintained below 6.0 °C room half duration. effect product quality evaluation assessed measuring various physiological attributes during storage. It found marketability subjected such remained possible salable period up two weeks. result made it identify which control inadequate, recommendations proposed stakeholder partner modify extend shelf life.
